BISBEE ARIZONA - JULY '09 HAPPENINGS
July's a big month in Bisbee Arizona. Bisbee's Bizzart Gallery is hosting a childrens' art show on July 2nd. The artists' reception will be from 4pm - 7pm. Also at Bizzart, JOURNEY THROUGH ECUADOR, featuring the photography of Bisbee photographer Larry Elkins (yours truly) and Sierra Vista area photographer Linda Guinter, continues through July 10th. On July 4th, Bisbee will host its renowned old fashioned Independence Day celebration. The day's events will include an early morning coaster race, a parade, semi pro baseball, old time hard rock drilling and mucking contests and an evening fireworks display. On July 5th, Bisbee celebrates the centennial of the Warren Ballpark, the oldest full sized ballpark in the United States (SEE PHOTOGRAPHS BY BISBEE PHOTOGRAPHER LARRY ELKINS OF THE RECENT VINTAGE BASE BALL GAME PLAYED AT WARREN BALLPARK AT elkinsphotos.com). Stay tuned to this blog for more July '09 Bisbee Happenings.

Bisbee Arizona - June '09 Happenings
I'll keep this first monthly blog brief since it's ;ate in June. However, there's lots happening in Bisbee Arizona come this July. This month though, suffice it to say that Bizzart Gallery is running a feature show, JOURNEY THROUGH ECUADOR. The show features photographs taken recently on a photo workshop in Ecuador. The photos, taken by Larry Elkins (your's truly) and Linda Guinter, range from photos of the Pacific coast rainforests, the Southern Andean highlands, fishing villages and the Isla de la Plata, an island a few miles off the pacific coast. My next blog covering events in July will feature information on Bisbee's old fashioned Fourth of July events as well as the Warren Baseball Park centennial on July 5th. I will also have the lowdown on Bizzart Gallery's snnual OUT OF THE BOX exhibit.
